A Modern Christmas.

We love all things modern. And white.  And this shoot is no exception.  It's our version of Christmas shot in Tori & the hubs own home in San Diego.  We were aiming to create a couple's first Christmas: out with old family traditions, while ushering in the new.  Not a stich of red or green in sight.  A gold tinsel tree, ornaments filled with confetti, Carnations mixed with Peonies, oversized deer (including a hunting decoy painted white and covered in lights), and glasses overflowing with champagne.  A day spent decorating the tree, playing in the rain, and cozying up to the dinner table.

The talented ladies from Joielala Photography captured our vision perfectly.  With lightness and warmth.  They rock our sequined socks! And the super cute models are our hairdressers (and real life couple) and owners of Belli Belli salon.  This shoot couldn't have been more fun.

So... the holiday is creeping even closer and it's time to put on your sequins and join us for this couple's first Christmas!

XO,

T & M

Obsessed. 100% enamored! I love the way you used a totally non traditional color palette and still made it feel cozy, warm, and festive! This for me ranks right up there with your work at hitched!

This is so beautiful! Definitely using this as inspiration for next year! Where did the gold stag head salt and pepper shakers come from? Also the stag heads hanging above the fire place. And Lastly :) I am in LOVE with those sequin stockings... . where can I get myself a pair?!?!

Happy New Year!!!

December 29, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterRachael

Rachael,
the salt and pepper shakers were bought an Anthropologie a few years back. They were silver, we painted them gold:)
The stockings are from West Elm, again, a few years back and the deer heads were purchased at Shinoda in San Diego fairly recently. They were brown- we spray painted them white:)

Wow this looks great, can you share where the napkins and tablecloth is from?

January 4, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJodie

I'm hosting an engagement party for my sister and her fiance with these colors. I loooooooove the tablecloths. I feel as though I've scoured the entire internet and cannot find a good match to the ones that were used on the shoot. They really tie in the entire theme! Where ever did you get them?
