Lovely Party Idea!

I'm mixing it up a tad this week because I was so inspired by these streamers that I couldn't help but want to share with anyone that hasn't seen them yet. My gal pal (Pinning extraordinaire) pinned these insanely adorable DIY streamers that had me wanting to throw a party asap! The beauties featured below were made by Lora Jean Magazine (endless amounts of DIY goodness over there btw), who was inspired to make them from seeing this tutorial. If you're like me, you've probably seen these single streamers on their own at party stores and thought, "Eh, I guess these will have to do". Well, think no more! Next time I see these babies I'm going to grab a bundle of colors and swing out some of my sewing to make a new fresh take on streamers. Thank you internet and crafty ladies out there for sharing such easy and fun ideas and tutorials!

Easter Fun!

You never need a reason to play with glitter and get creative with sugar, but in case you want one, and you celebrate Easter, here's your reason! Since Easter is this Sunday I thought I'd share some fun Easter goodies that I remember making as a child, and some new ones that I wish I would have made. You've got a card, decorations, some eats, and fun games. Let's do this! We all know and love Confetti System. These garlands make any party an automatic success, right? Then there's Rifle Paper Co. - simply adorable. I don't remember ever giving or getting Easter cards, but now that such cute ones exist, I'm so in. Ok. Peeps. Raise your hand if you can eat more than one? Not I. But...throw them inside a graham cracker with some chocolate? Genius. Found via Kate Spades recently new (which you must follow!). And, lastly these confetti eggs. Every year my cousins and I would make these, fill them up with colored tissue confetti and crack them on each others heads throughout the entire day. Imagine a water balloon war, except you're getting slammed on the head with egg shells and confetti (a nightmare to wash out of your hair btw). I loved this new twist on the confetti egg though! Found via Oh Happy Day (with full DIY instructions, yay!). This was fun, see you next week!

Click Click.

We've long been fans of diy photo booths.  When it came to our own weddings, we both knew that we wanted a photo booth set-up.  For "Vows in the Valley", our friend George put together our smilebooth, this is sure to bring years of lasting memories.

It's all in the details.

Our wedding was completely diy, from start to finish.  Here's a little peek at the projects we worked on: signs for the bar and food, cocktail stir sticks, wine glass tags for each guest, a two-tiered upside down hanging floral arrangement, cupcake stands (ala this tutorial), and our vows printed on handkerchiefs (we cheated and ironed on the text).  Every little detail was so much fun to create.  Be sure to check back, as we will be sharing our do-it-yourself secrets.

Backyard Surprise.

This adorable couple invited all of their friends and family to join them at their backyard engagement party.  Surprise!  This little party was actually their wedding.  Looks like so much fun!  The bride wore her mother's vintage floral wedding dress.  We are swooning.  And can we please talk about those hanging florals?  We may have another DIY project to try out.
