Happy Holidays.

Happy Holidays from our home to yours.  May this weekend find you someplace warm and snuggly, surrounding by family, friends, and lots of festive cheer (and maybe a few sequins, too).

Some recent images from the holiday season and Tori & Austin's house...

Furry friends and white balloons.

Lots of gold pumpkins at November dinners.

Enough candles to fill a hundred cathedrals.

Stocked bars coordinated by color.

And deers dressed in lights.

And then there is this sweet little video if you haven't seen it already.

We hope you are enjoying every moment of the holidays as much as we are!

XO,

Tori & Myka

Sevilla, Sevilla.

We spent two charming days in Sevilla discovering the Cathedrals, the quaint tapas bars, and riding through the pretty parks by horse and carriage.  On Saturday, every local in town came out in their finest and the women sported the most beautiful and elaborate hats I'd ever seen (you can see a short clip of them in the video my husband made, below).  We were surrounded by them drinking in the bars before they headed off to whatever occasion had them dressed that way.  Killer heels in the cobblestone streets, and all.  I never mastered that!

The park is so elaborate- nearly every inch is covered in some sort of tile work or mosaic.

Here's a tiny tapas bar we stopped into for a bite (I think I ate bread and olives!) and drank more red wine...

We stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia, a four star hotel (that also happened to be our least favorite place of all our hotels).  The hotel is a mish mash of 7 old mansions that have been linked by tunnels with random courtyards in the middle of all that inside space.  I was really excited about the place when I booked it!  Watch the video and see how long it takes to get to our hotel room from the lobby! They literally give you a map to get to your room!

On the last night, we climbed up to the hotel rooftops (also linked by staircases and tunnels) and explored. Overall, a cool hotel, but our room just felt a little cave like (you can see the small blue window of our room, below).  This girl likes lots of open windows and sunshine!

And to sum up our whole Spain honeymoon, Austin created this little Zumi video from the trip:

Hitched in Motion.

Tori's hubby made the trek to Smog Shoppe with us last week and happened to shoot this adorable Zumi footage of Hitched while we were there.  And if you can't tell from the photos just how fun it was, this little video will really make you wish you were there.

xoxo,

Everyone needs a little Super 8.

I'm jumping up and down with excitement waiting to share my wedding pictures with the world.   The lovely Miss Sarah Yates did the most amazing job (no surprise there) and I can hardly stand it.  We just stood there and she worked magic.  EVERYONE should hire her.  And I'm not just biased because she's my friend.  But, those pretty images will have to wait (and the super 8mm that goes with it).

In the meantime, I can share this with all of you: our City Hall ceremony.  Remember this post?  Because we were married in Mexico, my husband and I legally had a ceremony in San Diego prior to our departure.  Truth be told, our wedding in Sayulita feels like our "real" wedding and this felt like practice, but we still wanted to capture this on film.  As an added bonus, our furry children (yes, I'm obsessed.  helllloooo), who were my only reasons for thinking twice about a Mexico wedding, got to be apart of our legal ceremony.  And my sister flew in to be our witness.  And dog leash holder.  And it was lovely, and perfect, and actually really special because then I could stop my pouting about my dogs not being there for our wedding.  Because they kinda were.

*And i'm not kidding when I say that everyone needs some Super 8 in their lives.  It's the perfect little splice of your wedding.  No words.  Just music and pretty, pretty images.  Made more pretty by my husband.  Enjoy.

**And check out this for all the details on our Sayulita wedding day in my most delayed response to anything.  Ever.
